Shipping & Returns
*HOLIDAY SHIPPING & EXCHANGE TERMS*
Shipping deadlines: Please place all holiday orders by 12/15 for the best chance at receiving your items by 12/25, even with expedited shipping. Note that we are not responsible for any delays caused by the shipping carrier and cannot guarantee a certain delivery date, even with expedited shipping.
Holiday break: Note that we are closed until 1/2/23, all orders placed after 12/19/22 will be sent the week of 1/2/23.
Exchanges: We offer an extended exchange window for gift orders placed between November 1 and December 25. Items bought during this time will be eligible for an exchange through January 31. Items purchased after this period will qualify for our standard 30-day exchange window.
General US Shipping Terms:
We ship business days, Monday-Friday. It typically takes 2-5 business days from the date of purchase to package and ship your order. Orders take approximately 5-15 total business days to arrive.
You will receive an email containing your tracking information once your order ships.
Pre-order items will ship in the date range indicated on the product page. Any orders containing pre-order items will ship all at once when the pre-order item becomes available to minimize packaging waste.
International Shipping Terms:
Outside of the US, Bathen currently only ships to Canada & France.
Please be aware that Bathen is not responsible for any taxes, duties, broker or custom fees imposed upon shipments to Canada and France.
All Canadian and French orders are shipped via USPS. However, we have no control over how long your customs office holds onto your package and therefore cannot be responsible for packages beyond the port of entry. All customs forms will be filled to reflect the total value of your products and will be indicated as MERCHANDISE. We are not able to mark "gift" to avoid fees or taxes.
Note that like our US orders, Canadian and French orders can take up to 5 business days processing time before shipping. Finally, Canadian and French orders are exempt from price adjustments and free shipping promotions.
Lost or Stolen Packages:
Bathen is not responsible for lost or stolen packages confirmed to be delivered to the address entered for an order. Upon inquiry, we will confirm via the tracking link provided: delivery to the provided address, date of delivery, and shipping carrier information for the customer to investigate. The customer will be responsible for filing any claims with the shipping carrier.
Incorrect Shipping Information:
If a package is returned to Bathen due to an incorrect shipping address provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping cost as well as the re-delivery cost. We are not responsible for packages delivered incorrectly or lost due to incorrect shipping information provided by a customer.
If a package is returned to Bathen because it is undeliverable by the USPS, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping cost as well as the re-delivery cost. We are not responsible for packages that are undeliverable by the USPS.
Each Item is Unique:
Bathen products are handwoven by small fair trade organizations. As a result, one-of-a-kind variations or small imperfections may occur. This makes every product unique and distinct from mass factory-made items.
Any variations in Bathen products do not affect the quality and only add character. We hope you will appreciate these handmade touches as much as we do.
Currently, Bathen only offers exchanges. Before exchanging your item, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to initiate the process with "exchange" in the subject line and include your full name, order number, and the item you wish to exchange for (must be the total value as the original item.)
Bathen offers exchanges for unworn items in new condition within 30 days of package receipt. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you an exchange. To be eligible, all items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original packaging.
You will be responsible for paying for all shipping costs incurred for exchanging your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your exchanged item.
All sale purchases are final sale.
Once your exchange is received and inspected, please allow 5-8 business days for us to process your item. You will receive a notification email that the item you are exchanging for has been shipped.
Bathen strives to use minimal, recycled packaging as often as possible in an effort to help curb the immense waste created by online retailers. We use 100% recycled boxes, mailers, and post cards and avoid plastic as much as possible. Our robes come in 100% cotton bags that can be reused instead of tissue paper.
